How the Fundraising Works
You will receive a custom link from 99pledges.com to your student’s pledge page which you can easily forward to friends and family to request donations.
If your child does not have computer access or prefers to personally solicit donations, pledge sheets are available and can be returned to their school’s office with cash or check donations.
Encourage your child to write a short paragraph or make a short video to explain the Readathon and ask for their support. This can be sent alongside the link to your student’s pledge page at 99Pledges.
Bacich Example:
Dear friends and family,
My school is hosting our annual Readathon. I am so excited! We get to read all day at school in our pajamas, have special guest readers in our classroom and even visit with a famous author.
The Readathon is a fundraiser that will help pay for supplies for music, computers, new library books, gardening supplies, dance classes and so much more. If you would like to support me, please visit my fundraising page {Insert URL for student page}.
I hope you will consider donating to my Readathon!
Kent Example:
Dear friends and family,
My school is hosting our annual Readathon! We will be spending approximately 200 minutes reading just that week.
The Readathon is a fundraiser that helps supply the tools I use in woodworking, the instruments I play in band, the computers in our classrooms, new library books, and so much more. If you would like to support me, please visit my fundraising page {Insert URL for student page}.
I hope you will consider donating to my Readathon!
